Frequently asked questions

What is the standard fee?

The standard evaluation fee is $1,000. The agreed scope, payment schedule, and report timeline are reviewed before you begin. Any services outside that agreed scope must be discussed separately.

Are payment arrangements available?

Payment arrangements may be available. The full agreed fee must be paid before the completed report is released. Please discuss payment needs during your initial inquiry.

Can the evaluation be completed virtually?

Virtual appointments are offered for clients physically located in New York or New Jersey at the time of the appointment. Location, privacy, and suitability are confirmed before scheduling.

How long does the process take?

Interview scheduling and report timelines are confirmed individually before booking. Please tell us about filing deadlines at the initial inquiry. Do not assume an urgent deadline can be accommodated until availability is confirmed.

What happens during an evaluation?

The process includes informed consent and a clinical interview. Appropriate assessment measures and relevant available records may also be considered. Findings are summarized in a written clinical report.

Is this ongoing therapy?

No. An evaluation is a separate, purpose-specific assessment service. It does not establish an ongoing therapy schedule. Recommendations for further care may be included when appropriate.

Can you work with my attorney?

With your written authorization, coordination can be arranged to clarify the clinical scope, relevant records, and report delivery. Your attorney provides legal advice; clinical opinions remain independent.

Can I use insurance?

Please ask about billing before scheduling. Do not assume that coverage for therapy also covers an immigration evaluation. The $1,000 standard fee and payment arrangements are reviewed before services begin.

What if I need an interpreter?

Tell us your preferred language before scheduling. Interpreter availability, arrangements, and any related costs must be confirmed before booking.

Is the evaluation confidential?

Privacy practices, the intended report recipients, and the limits of confidentiality are reviewed during informed consent. Release to an attorney or another recipient requires appropriate authorization.

Does the report guarantee an immigration outcome?

No. Clinical findings do not guarantee approval or any other legal result. An attorney advises how the report may be used and what other documentation is needed.

How should I send records?

Email first to arrange an appropriate secure method. Do not send detailed clinical history, immigration documents, or identifying records through unsecured inquiry channels.

Clearview provides clinical mental health evaluations, not legal advice or immigration representation. Your attorney determines eligibility and how a report may be used. Findings are independent, and no diagnosis or immigration outcome is guaranteed.
