T Visa Mental Health Evaluations in NY & NJ

Clinical mental health evaluations with Christina Nicole Smith, LMHC, LPC. Virtual appointments in New York and New Jersey.

A compassionate approach to complex experiences.

Experiences involving trafficking or exploitation can be difficult to discuss. A trauma-informed evaluation focuses on understanding the person’s mental health, relevant history, and current functioning.

What the evaluation explores

The assessment may explore the emotional effects of reported exploitation, ongoing stress, coping, and support. Information is gathered for a defined clinical purpose, with attention to privacy and the limits of confidentiality. Clinical conclusions depend on the findings of the assessment.

  • Relevant reported experiences and their emotional effects
  • Trauma-related concerns, mood, anxiety, sleep, and concentration
  • Effects on relationships, daily functioning, and sense of safety
  • Support, treatment history, and recommendations for further care

Preparing for your appointment

Please identify a safe contact method and any language or accessibility needs before the appointment. With written authorization, coordination with your attorney can help clarify the clinical scope and relevant records. A private interview location is important for virtual appointments.

From interview to written report

Before we begin, we review the purpose of the assessment, informed consent, confidentiality limits, and fees. The evaluation may include a clinical interview, appropriate assessment measures, and review of relevant available records. A written report presents the clinical findings and relevant limitations. Report timing is agreed upon before booking.

Can my attorney help coordinate the evaluation?
