Documenting the emotional effects of crime-related experiences.
After a crime-related experience, emotional symptoms can affect many parts of daily life. A mental health evaluation explores those concerns and provides a written account of the clinical findings.
What the evaluation explores
We assess the individual’s reported experiences, symptoms, history, and functioning. When appropriate and authorized, available records may be considered alongside the clinical interview and assessment measures. The report distinguishes information reported by the client from observations and professional opinions.
- Reported experiences and their mental health impact
- Anxiety, mood changes, trauma-related concerns, and coping
- Changes in work, relationships, sleep, and daily routines
- Treatment history, support systems, and current care needs
Virtual evaluations in New York and New Jersey
Appointments are conducted virtually, so you can meet from a private location without traveling to an office. You must be physically in New York or New Jersey during your appointment. We confirm your location, language needs, privacy, and clinical fit before scheduling.
Preparing for your appointment
Ask your attorney which records are relevant and whether they have a specific evaluation question. Tell us the filing deadline and any language needs before scheduling. The evaluation does not determine whether a crime or application meets immigration requirements.
From interview to written report
Before we begin, we review the purpose of the assessment, informed consent, confidentiality limits, and fees. The evaluation may include a clinical interview, appropriate assessment measures, and review of relevant available records. A written report presents the clinical findings and relevant limitations. Report timing is agreed upon before booking.
Does an evaluation replace legal documents?
No. The report provides clinical information. Your attorney advises on legal documentation, eligibility, and other evidence needed for the matter.
Review the $1,000 standard evaluation fee and payment terms, or contact us to discuss your evaluation.
